Mike's mom retired last week so we decided a suprise party would be a perfect way to celebrate the occasion. We invited her up for "pizza." Mike's sister, Mary and her boyfriend Eric drove her to our house. They said her reaction was "wow, they're having a party... You STINKPOTS!" When she got out of the truck she said "All the people I know!"
It was a fun night! The weather was perfect. We served pulled pork, Carribean chicken drummies, taco salad, curried chicken salad cups, broken glass Jell-o, baked beans, cornbread muffins and salmon & wasabi on crackers. For dessert was the yummy cake and cheesecake bars. There was mingling, horseshoes, and a bonfire. By the end of the night Mike and I were both coming down with a cold, but it was a successful party!

Hannah has been watching us eat everything lately. She's very inquisitive. Yesterday we had a picnic on our new deck. Hannah was so happy being outside watching her mom and dad eat. I decided to give her a little applesauce. 
Dad wanted to be the first to feed her. He's so patient with her!
Not too sure about that first bite!
Getting the hang of that spoon...
I think I like this!
It was a success!
